Soft plush shell, about 100 grams. No batteries, no electronics, nothing to charge. Cats that respond to catnip tend to go for it fast. Cats that don't respond to catnip will likely ignore this too, that's just how catnip works, not a flaw in the toy.
Keep an eye on it once your cat starts really working it over. Like any soft toy, check the seams and replace it if the stuffing starts coming through.
